The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) transferred a total of 170,412.9 million manats to the state budget as of December 31, 2025, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Oil Fund.
It should be noted that within the framework of the implementation of the 2025 budget of SOFAZ, 14,481 million manats were transferred to the state budget last year.
It should be added that SOFAZ's assets amounted to 60,031.4 million US dollars (102,053.3 million manats) at the beginning of 2025, and as of December 31, 2025, they increased by 22.5% compared to the beginning of the year and reached 73,541.5 million US dollars (125,020.5 million manats).
Recall that SOFAZ was established on December 29, 1999. The Fund is a special institution that ensures the collection, efficient management and preservation of revenues from oil and gas for future generations. SOFAZ is an off-budget, separate state institution. Transparency is one of the main principles of SOFAZ's activities. During this period, SOFAZ has developed at a high level institutionally and has become an international financial institution.
