The Polish Bank Association views the Azerbaijani banking sector as an important partner and considers the further deepening of strategic cooperation between the two countries a priority, said Włodzimierz Kiciński, Executive Vice President of the Polish Bank Association, during his speech at the 9th Banking Forum, APA-Economics reports.

He stated that the friendly relations and growing economic cooperation between the two countries create new partnership opportunities in the banking sector. He noted that the Polish Bank Association represents 550 banks operating in the country — commercial and cooperative banks — and that the sector is evolving in line with geopolitical challenges, increasing investment demand, and customer expectations.

According to him, the Polish banking system is among the world leaders in terms of digitalization, and 4 Polish banks are included among the 34 global leaders in digital banking. Włodzimierz Kiciński added that in Poland, there is close cooperation between banking technologies and state institutions, and artificial intelligence is widely applied in financial services.
