Staff of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have completed the 2026 Article IV mission to Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports citing the IMF.
The mission, led by Ms. Anna Bordon, visited Baku from February 4 to 17, 2026. The purpose of the visit was to assess the country’s economic situation, financial developments, economic outlook, risks, and policies aimed at promoting sustainable growth.
The mission held meetings with senior government officials, representatives of the financial sector, and international financial institutions.
It was emphasized that, based on the preliminary findings, the mission will prepare a report to be submitted to the IMF Executive Board for discussion and decision.
