Macroeconomic stability prevails in Azerbaijan amid continued uncertainty in the world economy, said Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov during the discussion of the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026” at the meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, APA reports.
The Economy Minister said that the financial sustainability of the state budget is further strengthened: “These processes have been further accelerated by the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the United States on August 8. Turning the emerging new opportunities into economic opportunities is one of the challenges ahead. Internal and external factors were taken into account when preparing the budget draft. It is predicted that the negative impacts on the global economy will be lower than expected and that global economic growth will increase as a result of the restructuring of trade chains. At the same time, some uncertainties in the world economy are being eliminated. The Azerbaijani economy has been demonstrating stability in recent years.”
