In January 2026, gross domestic product (GDP) worth 9 billion 78.7 million manats was produced in the country, which is 1.7% more compared to January of the previous year, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the data, value added in the oil and gas sector increased by 0.6%, while in the non-oil and gas sector it rose by 2.3%.
Of GDP production, 33.9% accounted for industry, 11.7% for trade and repair of motor vehicles, 7.8% for transport and warehousing, 3.6% for construction, 3.3% for agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.4% for accommodation of tourists and public catering, 2.2% for information and communications, while other sectors accounted for 23.4%. Net taxes on products and imports made up 11.7% of GDP.
GDP per capita amounted to 884.5 manats.
