“China is Azerbaijan’s fourth-largest trading partner and the country’s biggest source of imports,” said Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev in an interview with China’s People’s Daily newspaper, APA reports.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that in January–September of this year, trade turnover between the two countries reached 3.4 billion US dollars, marking a 28% increase compared to the previous year: “This fully confirms that the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides continues to deepen and has great potential.”
Speaking at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this platform enables Azerbaijani companies to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese consumer preferences and market trends, which helps them better adapt to the Chinese market: “At the same time, it provides an opportunity to become familiar with China’s legislation, customs policy, and logistics system, thereby laying a solid foundation for future practical cooperation.”
