Improving the welfare of the population forms the foundation of the policy of the head of state, said Deputy Minister of Finance Himalay Mamishov during the joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committees on Labor and Social Policy, and Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, held to discuss the “State Budget Package of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026,” APA reports.
The Deputy Minister noted that 2.1 billion manats are planned to be allocated next year for the payment of benefits and pensions: “Over the past five years, expenditures on social protection and security have increased by 40.7%.”
