There is no talk of abolishing tax incentives applied to salaries. All over the world, when tax incentives are established, they are for a limited period, said the Deputy Minister of Economy, Sahib Alakbarov, at a joint meeting of the Committees for Law Policy and State-Building, Defence, Security and Anti-Corruption, Human Rights, and Regional Issues in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
“This type of tax incentive was also set for 7 years. That period has ended. A new type of tax incentive is being introduced on this matter. For people earning up to 2,500 manats, it was supposed to be 14%, but starting next year it will be 3%. There are quite a lot of people in Azerbaijan earning 2,500 manats. 3% is not such a large amount,” the deputy minister said.
