Chamber of Accounts submits its opinion on next year’s state budget to Azerbaijani Parliament

The next Board meeting was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts, Vugar Gulmammadov, the Chamber of Accounts told APA.

The first item discussed at the meeting was the Opinion of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the draft state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026.

It was noted that the Opinion expresses the position of the external state financial control body on the compliance of the draft Law on the state budget for 2026 and the relevant documents submitted with the draft with legislative acts, the accuracy and completeness of the projected state budget revenues and expenditures, the budget deficit forecast indicators, as well as the compliance of these indicators with the main macroeconomic parameters and the country's strategic documents.

During the discussions, an exchange of views was held on the main points reflected in the Opinion, the results of the conducted analyses, and the recommendations put forward. As a result of the discussions, it was decided to approve the Opinion and submit it to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Later, the meeting discussed the Opinions of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Draft Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Budget of the State Social Protection Fund for 2026” and the Draft Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Budget of the Unemployment Insurance Fund for 2026”.

The members of the Board reviewed the main issues covered in the Opinions, the results of the analyses conducted, and the recommendations put forward. As a result of the discussions, a decision was made to approve the Opinions and send them to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
