Today, the regional forum themed “Asia Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Monitor 2025,” organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has started its work in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to "," the event, which will be held on November 12–13, aims to discuss the financing of the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector, trade policies, and sustainable development opportunities.
On the first day of the forum, the risks emerging in financial markets amid increasing geopolitical tensions and their impact on the financing of SMEs will be in the spotlight. During the discussions, the steps taken by financial regulators to mitigate these risks and create alternative financing opportunities for entrepreneurs will be reviewed.
In addition, another session will discuss the challenges faced by SMEs in international trade, the role of regional cooperation, and issues related to enhancing financial inclusion.
Furthermore, the continuation of joint initiatives aimed at sustainable development of the SME sector in the region, improving financial accessibility, and increasing competitiveness will be brought to the agenda.
