AZN 155 million will be allocated to the “Public Transport” Fund, APA-Economics reports.
This is noted in the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts on the state budget for 2026.
The document states that in 2026, 155 million manats of road tax revenues are planned for the “Public Transport” Targeted Budget Fund (TBF), and 239.4 million manats for the “Motor Roads” TBF.
It is noted that the “Public Transport” Fund was established for the first time in 2025, and as one of its revenue sources, a certain part of the road tax applied per liter of automobile gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas will be directed to this fund.
The Chamber of Accounts stated that the establishment of the new fund aims to strengthen financial discipline in the transport sector and ensure transparent management of urban transport infrastructure expenditures.
