A total of 213.6 million manats from the state budget were used to organize international and national-level events held in Azerbaijan in 2025, APA-Economics reports.
This was reflected in the “Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025,” which was discussed at a session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the report, the funds were allocated for events such as the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the World Telecommunication Development Conference, the 12th Global Baku Forum, the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, the Third National Urban Planning Forum, the 8th “Kharibulbul” International Folklore Festival, the 7th International Mugham Festival “Mugham World,” and other international events.
The funds were also used to finance preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum to be held in Baku in 2026, as well as activities related to Azerbaijan’s presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
At the same time, 12.6 million manats were allocated for international activities and other events, while 11.4 million manats were used for foreign aid expenditures.
According to the report, 181.9 million manats were also allocated to finance Azerbaijan’s share in the charter capital of international investment and development funds of which the country is a co-founder.
