Azerbaijan is implementing a sustainable development policy in the financial sector, said the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Country Director for Azerbaijan, Sunniya Durrani-Jamal, during her speech at the “ASM 2025 Launch Seminar” held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
She added that the Government of Azerbaijan is implementing a policy and roadmap for the sustainable development of the financial sector covering the years 2023–2026. Azerbaijan is also carrying out important work on the formation of a national “green taxonomy.” The goal of this work is to ensure consistency in taxonomy concepts and definitions across different jurisdictions.
“The efforts in this direction serve to create coherence and a common understanding at the international level,” the Country Director emphasized.
