Imports of works of art, collectors’ items, and antiques into the country will be exempt from value-added tax (VAT), APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Tax Code that was brought up for discussion at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
Under the draft, based on a supporting document issued by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, the import of works of art, collectors’ items, and antiques — as determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority according to the list of codes of the goods nomenclature of foreign economic activity — will be exempt from VAT.
Following the discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
