There are issues with targeting in the financing procedures of state support (subsidization) in the field of crop production, APA-Economics reports.
This is reflected in the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts on the draft state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026.
The existence of targeting problems in the financing procedures of state support for crop production, as well as the incomplete formation of a unified electronic information system for tracking the volume of state support and the productivity reports of recipient farms (farmers), creates adverse effects at both micro and macro levels.
The efficiency indicators (targets) of state support (financing of sowing and crop subsidies, discounts on machinery), the responsibilities of recipients, and the requirements set before them (such as production volume, productivity, job creation, cost reduction, etc.) have not been defined.
