Annual inflation in Türkiye has decreased again, APA-Economics reports, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI).
Annual inflation stood at 30.65% in January 2026. In December last year, this figure was 30.89%. Consumer prices rose by 4.84% month-on-month in January.
Note that over the past year, prices increased by 31.69% for food and non-alcoholic beverages, 29.39% in transportation, and 45.36% in housing.
Recall that inflation in Türkiye reached a 24-year high of 85.5% in October 2022. It was 75.45% in May 2024, while last year the highest level was recorded in January at 42.12%.
