Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In 2010, Azerbaijan’s securities market attracted new issuers and was supported on the account of extending of local investor portfolio.
According to State Committee for Securities, number of financial organizations and non-banking organizations increased in 2010, while most of the issuers were banks in previous years. 8 issuers have been put up to sale of debt instruments during the same period and 2 issuers have been financed via securities market.
At the same time, local investor portfolio made AZN doubled to AZN 433.7 mln, in 2010, while this index was AZN 225.1 mln, in 2009.
