Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, which produce the Patriot air defense system, believe that transferring the license to produce these weapons to Ukraine would be potentially disadvantageous, it is noted in an article published in the American magazine The Atlantic, APA reports.
As a Congressional source noted to the publication, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon "will officially justify their concerns" regarding the possibility of granting the aforementioned license to Kyiv with issues related to "intellectual property theft and technology transfer." According to the source, "their real concerns" are that the cost of producing these systems in Ukraine may be lower than in the United States.
"At the time of writing, Washington had not confirmed that Trump had made a decision regarding the licensing agreement," the publication notes.
