Bahar Energy Operating Company (BEOC) has launched the implementation of a project for the redevelopment of the Bahar and Gum-Deniz fields located in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea, APA-Economics reports.
As a result of the operational measures carried out, gas production at the Bahar field has increased by 50%. As part of the project, international energy services company SLB has been engaged to conduct technical and geological assessment work.
It was noted that the initial technical and geological assessment phases have been completed, and the project is currently proceeding toward the next stage of development. Within this framework, the potential of the fields and future infrastructure requirements are being assessed.
