Romania, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan played an important role in ensuring Moldova's access to diversified gas sources, Moldova's Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu stated while speaking at the 31st Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“While going through the crisis, we also recently implemented market liberalization so that our economy could gain access and economic operators could access various sources,” the minister noted.
According to the minister, Moldova considers renewable energy sources a key component of its energy strategy.
“We are now working on the installation and promotion of storage systems in order to reduce imports during peak evening hours,” Dorin Junghietu emphasized.
