Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with delegation led by Minister of the Environment and Energy of Greece Kostas Skrekas, Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.
Discussions on issues arising from cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy were conducted.
Minister Parviz Shahbazov provided information about works done within the green energy transition process in Azerbaijan in accordance with existing calls. The importance of natural gas in transition period was stressed and information about gas deposits and reserves in our country in the context of doubling the volume of gas exports to Europe, which is envisaged by the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership in the field of energy signed between Azerbaijan and the European Union was provided.
Konstantinos Skrekas noted that the Southern Gas Corridor is of great importance for Greece in terms of gas sources and route diversification.
