The issue of a common alphabet will also be discussed within the framework of the Ankara Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kürşad Zorlu, deputy chairman of Türkiye’s Justice and Development Party (AK Party), said, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
He noted that common values and cultural ties expressing the unity of the Turkic world form the basis of Türkiye-Azerbaijan brotherhood and cooperation.
Kürşad Zorlu said that relations between the two countries have not reached their current level easily, and that serious difficulties were experienced and certain sacrifices were made during this process.
He emphasized that they have recently been following with regret some posts and initiatives aimed at undermining Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations.
“We can criticize each other and voice our shortcomings. Our state institutions also do this mutually at the highest level. But we are one nation, two states. This great ideal that brings us together must stand above everything else. I believe that when we act with this confidence and responsibility, no provocation will achieve its goal,” he said.
