Participants of the IV International Conference held within the framework of the “Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons” have completed their visit to Karabakh, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.

On October 9–10, the conference participants visited the Khojaly, Fuzuli, Aghdam and Lachin districts, as well as the city of Shusha.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited the Khojaly Genocide Memorial Complex and familiarized themselves with the sights of Shusha. They also visited the Aghdam and Fuzuli districts.

On the final day of the visit, October 10, the delegation arrived in the village of Zabukh in the Lachin district. Masim Mammadov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, provided the guests with detailed information about the village.

The participants then visited the boulevard created along the bank of the Hakari River. After viewing the city from an observation point in Lachin, the delegation also visited Heydar Aliyev Street, where they were given detailed information about Lachin.

It should be noted that ambassadors and attachés accredited in Azerbaijan, representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as former heads of state and government of foreign countries, took part in the visit.

The IV International Conference, organized by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, was dedicated to the topic “Strengthening Trust and Developing Effective Mechanisms in Addressing the Problem of Missing Persons.”
