The average price of a barrel of Brent crude oil on global markets stood at USD 116.8 in September this year, up 28.5% compared to the previous month's figure of USD 90.9, APA-Economics reports, citing the World Bank's monthly commodity price report.
According to the report, the average price of a barrel of Brent crude oil on global markets amounted to USD 97.1 in the third quarter of this year, up 40.7% compared to the corresponding period of last year (USD 69).
The Bank recalled that the average price of Brent crude oil stood at USD 69 in 2025, down 14.5% compared to the 2024 figure of USD 80.7.
According to the data, the average price of a barrel of WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude oil stood at USD 96.9 in September this year, up 17.2% compared to the previous month's figure of USD 82.7.
It was noted that the average price of a barrel of WTI crude oil on global markets amounted to USD 86.3 in the third quarter of this year, up 32.8% compared to the corresponding period of last year (USD 65).
The report also stated that the average price of WTI crude oil stood at USD 64.9 last year, down 14.4% compared to the previous year's figure of USD 75.8.
