In January-August of this year, Azerbaijan exported cotton worth $187 million 931.17 thousand to foreign markets, the State Customs Committee said, APA-Economics reports.
This figure is 23.3% higher compared with the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the value of cotton imported into the country amounted to $7 million 143.15 thousand. This is 13.9% more compared with the corresponding period of 2025.
It should be noted that in the first eight months of this year, cotton exports accounted for 0.86% of Azerbaijan’s total exports, while imports accounted for 0.06% of total imports.
