Afghan and Pakistani troops have exchanged fire in a border area of Afghanistan’s Paktia province, APA reports, citing TOLOnews.
An official from the Afghan forces’ 203rd Mansouri Army Corps said the clash occurred in Dand Patan district along the Durand Line, which Kabul does not recognise as the border between the two countries.
The Afghan side said Pakistani troops opened fire first, prompting Afghan units to return fire.
According to the army official, Afghan troops suffered no casualties and the clash has ended.
