The Kyrgyz Republic is ready to actively participate in the implementation of joint projects in the fields of hydropower, solar and wind energy, modernization of energy infrastructure, as well as the development of cross-border energy corridors, Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaybek Ibraev said while speaking at the 31st Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“I am confident that further strengthening regional cooperation will enable Central Asia to become one of the leading regions in sustainable energy development, ensure the energy security of our states, and contribute to the prosperity of the region as a whole,” the minister noted.
According to him, the Kyrgyz Republic considers regional cooperation one of the most important tools for implementing its key objectives.
“The Kyrgyz Republic attaches particular importance to new regional initiatives aimed at accelerating the energy transition,” Taalaybek Ibraev emphasized.
