Green energy projects are built on three main pillars: energy security, economic benefit, and environmental sustainability, said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, during the 12th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, for four years now, important projects related to green energy production and the export of green energy from the region to Europe have been discussed within the framework of the Advisory Council.
“The implementation of green energy projects in Azerbaijan primarily strengthens the country’s energy security, while at the same time creating additional guarantees for neighboring regions and European partners,” the minister noted.
Parviz Shahbazov added that these projects also create mutual economic benefits and further strengthen cooperation with the European Union.
“The implementation of green energy programs makes a significant contribution to environmental protection and ecological security,” the minister concluded.
