Gio Cristofoli: bp drilling new well to assess additional oil rim at ACG

bp is drilling a well to assess an additional oil rim identified as part of the free natural gas production project at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field, bp's Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye, Gio Cristofoli, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, the well will make it possible to gather information on the discovered oil rim, including its volumes and production potential.

Gio Cristofoli also noted that the well will create opportunities for oil production from the identified oil rim.

The regional president added that production from the well is planned to begin in September this year.
