A total of 7,446.4 million cubic meters of gas was transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan in January–February this year, reflecting a 4.8% decrease compared to the same period last year, the State Statistical Committee told APA.
According to the information, 49.4% of gas transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline.
Gas produced from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline.
During the reporting period, 3,412.9–3,682 million cubic meters of gas were transported via this pipeline (an increase of 7.9%).
Note that last year, 40,235.6 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, which is a 0.3% decrease compared to the previous year. Of this, 57.5% was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline. During the reporting period, 23,143.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 1.3%).
