"Our energy partnership with Azerbaijan is advancing in step with Europe’s clean energy transition," European Union Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen, who is visiting Baku, said in an X post, APA reports.
"Today, we strengthened cooperation across the full energy spectrum — from securing gas supplies and cutting methane emissions to modernising grids and expanding renewables," Jørgensen noted.
According to him, Azerbaijan and the wider region hold immense potential in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and regional connectivity: "The South Caucasus can emerge as a hub for clean technology and infrastructure development."
