In January of this year, Azerbaijan exported 44,723.93 tons of petroleum products worth 32,207.98 thousand US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing its calculations based on data published by the State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, the value of petroleum products exported by Azerbaijan increased by 68.3%, while the volume rose by nearly 7.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2025.
Oil in Azerbaijan is processed at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, founded in 1953. The refinery fully meets the country’s demand for petroleum products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the refinery.
