In January-April of this year, the total value of production in Azerbaijan’s mining industry amounted to 12.5 billion manats, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Production of marketable crude oil, the sector’s main product, amounted to 8.8 million tons, while production of marketable natural gas totaled 13 billion cubic meters.
During the reporting period, metal ores worth 398.9 million manats were extracted. Of this, 9,013.2 tons of copper concentrate were produced, which is 13.4 times more compared to the same period last year.
In addition, 1,304.8 kilograms of gold and 826 kilograms of silver were produced during the period.
