“We discussed all important areas between the two countries," said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, APA reports.
The minister stated that cooperation on international platforms, regional security, and responses to global challenges were discussed today: “In 2025, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $11 million. Today, discussions were held on increasing this potential and on ways to promote mutual investments. There is cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector. In recent years, the number of buyers of Azerbaijani gas has expanded significantly.”
The minister also emphasized that another important area between the two countries is green energy.
According to the foreign minister, his counterpart shared the Moldovan government’s new projects in the energy sector: “My counterpart will also hold meetings with our relevant ministers regarding these projects. We also discussed the broad potential of the Middle Corridor and the participation of Moldovan transport companies in these projects.”
