In 2025, the Azerbaijan Gas Supply Company (AGSC) sold approximately 27 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in total, 12 bcm of which was supplied to the European Union, said AGSC Chief Executive Officer Lidya Salahova during the meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to her, supplies of Azerbaijani gas to the European market began on December 31, 2020, and over the past five years, a total of 55 billion cubic meters of gas has been sold to Europe.

Lidya Salahova stated that in 2025, while meeting approximately 34% of domestic demand, the company also strengthened its position in international markets. The share of Azerbaijani gas reached approximately 16% in the markets of Italy, Greece, and Türkiye, 34% in Bulgaria, and 51% in Georgia.

She added that more than 25 bcm of gas was produced at the Shah Deniz field last year, which created conditions for increasing sales volumes.

The company head emphasized that effective coordination was ensured between production companies and transmission system operators, supply stability was maintained, and service continuity was preserved at a high level.
