Azerbaijan raises oil exports by 21% in Jan-July

Baku. Vugar Mustafayev – APA-Economics. 22.3 million metric tons of oil flowed abroad from Azerbaijan during January-July, up 20.6% from the same period a year earlier.
Of this, 21.487 million tons was exported by Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), a BP-led consortium of foreign petroleum companies, 23.4% higher from a year earlier, AIOC told APA-Economics.
574 800 tons of oil was transported by rail to Batumi in Georgia over this period, a 23.4% decline from the same period last year.
Oil was not pumped through the Western Route Export Pipeline to Supsa from Baku as the pipeline is currently shut down.
AIOC didn’t export any oil through the Northern Route Export Pipeline to Novorossiysk Port while SOCAR exported 813 100 tons.
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline delivered 20.913 million tons of oil to Ceyhan Terminal of Turkey, up 30.5% from a year earlier.
Azerbaijan exported a total of 30.579 million tons of oil during 2007, up 35.9% from 2006.
