AIOC achieves 12% rise in oil production in Jan-July

Baku. Vugar Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan produced in 27.713 million tons of oil during January-July, up 11.6% from a year earlier.
Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), a BP-led consortium of foreign petroleum companies, produced 22.644 million tons of oil from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field during this period, up 14.9% from the same period last year.
During this period Chirag produced around 3.587 million tons, a 3.8% decline from the previous year. Oil production was 535 100 tons in July alone.
Production increased 17%, year-over-year, to 18.37 million tons in Azeri Field (2.828 million tons in July).
Also after the start-up of production in the fifth platform â€“ Deepwater Guneshli- in April, 687 141 tons of oil came from this platform during April-July (298 757 tons in July).
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 5.069 million tons of oil during this period, a 1.3% decline on the same period last year.
