Azerbaijan posts 14% growth in industrial production

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s industrial growth was 14.1% during January-July, said the country’s top body.
The State Statistical Committee said industrial production reached AZN 18.6 billion during this period. The growth was 15.1% in oil sector and 8.3% in non-oil sector.
The growth was 14.8% in oil extraction, 68.6% in gas production, 1.1% in foodstuff production, 57.8% in chemicals production, 38% in fur, leather and shoes making, 72.9% in metallurgy, 1.4% in firewood and wood production and 18.7% in electronic machine and equipment making, etc.
Industrial services accounted for 5% of production. The share of the private sector was 82.1% in production.
