Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Russia’s company Transneft is ready to double oil transportation from Azerbaijan via Baku-Novorossiysk Pipeline, said Russia’s Trade Officer in Azerbaijan, Yuri Shedrin.
He added that monthly transportation rate may reach 240 000 to 250 000 tons.
“Negotiations with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) are under way,†he noted.
At present Azerbaijan is pumping on average 120 000 tons of oil a month via this route.
