Pumping gas through Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum route restarted

BP-Azerbaijan closed the pipeline two days ago because of security reasons amid happenings in Georgia.
Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipelines takes gas from Shah Deniz gas and condensate field in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea to Turkey via Georgia.
In 2007 Shah Deniz field produced a total of 3.16 billion cubic meters of gas from four wells, up 12.4% on the prediction.
Of this, 1.594 billion cubic meters was delivered to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Shah Deniz participating interests are: BP (operator – 25.5%), StatoilHydro (25.5%), SOCAR (10%), LUKOIL (10%), NICO (10%), Total (10%), and TPAO (9%).
