Baku – APA. Tale Heydarov, Chairman and Founder of The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) outlined the strong and evolving bilateral economic and political ties between Germany and Azerbaijan, encouraging further development. Speaking at the Conference for the Junge Union Deutschlandtag (Young Conservatives of Germany) in Potsdam, Heydarov’s comments were made before 1000 high-ranking guests.

Going on to congratulate Phillip Missfelder, Foreign Policy Speaker for the CDU/CSU, on his successful re-election as Chairman of the Junge Union, Heydarov also called for a closer relationship between the Junge Union and TEAS. He commented that the Junge Union had become an important partner for his organization in Europe, and that such co-operation facilitates additional bridge-building between the two countries on various levels.

This year’s conference theme was Family as the Future, and delegates included Dr Angela Merkel, German Chancellor; Ursula von der Leyen, Minister for Work; and Horst Seehofer, Bavarian State President.
