Baku – APA. Representative of Bundestag, expert on political sciences Hayko Langner delivered a lecture “Nagorno Karabakh conflict in the atmosphere of geopolitical influence and tense security” at the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany, press service of the State Committee for Diaspora told APA. Executive Director of the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany Samira Patzer-Ismayilova said Hayko Langner touched on important points concerning Karabakh conflict. According to the politician, OSCE Minsk Group has been mediating in the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict since the conflicting parties reached agreement on ceasefire in 1994. The conflicting parties have not backtracked on their initial positions.
Langner said the ceasefire was often violated on the line of contact, the threat was increasing that it might turn into a new armed conflict.
Hayko Langner demonstrated the photos describing Armenian savageries taken by the German journalists in Shusha, Lachin, Khankendi, Aghdam, Asgaran regions in 2010.
Germany’s representative to OSCE Minsk Group in 1990 Dr. Frank Lambach, Bundestag’s representative Ivon Bechlein, representatives of the Azerbaijani embassy in Germany, playwright, journalist Lutz Leichfuz, doctoral candidates, students, representatives of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora organizations participated in the event.
Hayko Langner is an expert on north-eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, Caucasus region and the author of a number of articles about the processes in the region.
