Anniversary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces marked in Georgiaâ€™s capital

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh â€“ APA. The anniversary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been marked in Tbilisi (Georgia). APAâ€™s Georgia bureau reports that the event on the 92nd anniversary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces was organized by Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia.

Advisor of the embassy Shovgi Mehdizadeh said prior to the event Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev, the embassyâ€™s military attachÃ© Elbrus Orujov, representatives of Georgian military command, military attachÃ©s of the embassies accredited in Georgia visited the monument to Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijani Army. Following this, the embassy held an official reception on the occasion of the anniversary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces. Film about Azerbaijani Army was screened, Elbrus Orujov informed the participants about the history of the modern Azerbaijani Armed Forces and its present military power.

Deputy Defense Minister of Georgia, deputy chief of headquarters and other officials of the Georgian government, representatives of the countryâ€™s military command, ambassadors and military attachÃ©s of Japan, Turkey, Iran, Romania and Iraq attended the event.
