"It is a great pleasure for us to visit the Ganjasar Monastery Complex on the occasion of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at a time when Azerbaijan is celebrating State Sovereignty Day," Robert Mobili, Chairman of the Albanian-Udi Christian Community, told journalists at the Ganjasar Monastery Complex, APA reports.
He said they had visited many churches in the liberated territories and offered prayers there.
"In general, the Ganjasar Monastery Complex is one of the pearls of the surviving Albanian churches of Caucasian Albania. This is a very rich heritage. These churches have no connection with the Armenian Church; they are Albanian churches. Azerbaijan is the successor to all historical temples located on its territory, including Albanian churches. This is unequivocal.
The atmosphere of tolerance in Azerbaijan today gives us strength. We visit churches in such an environment. This is our native heritage," Robert Mobili emphasized.
