The visit of participants of the Fourth International Conference held within the framework of the "Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons" to the city of Shusha has concluded, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
During the visit, organized by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, the conference participants familiarized themselves with residential complexes and historical and cultural sites in Shusha.
The delegation visited the bullet-riddled busts of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Bulbul, and Khurshidbanu Natavan and toured Shusha Fortress. A commemorative photo was taken in front of the fortress walls.
As part of the visit, the guests also visited Shusha Prison. They were informed about crimes committed against Azerbaijani prisoners of war and hostages held there during the occupation.
It was reported that the fate of 144 people held in the prison remains unknown.
It was also noted that after Shusha was liberated from occupation, the remains of 31 people were exhumed from two mass graves discovered in the area.

After visiting the Khojaly Genocide Memorial Complex, the delegation arrived in the city of Shusha.
As part of the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with newly constructed residential buildings in Shusha, ongoing construction and development works in the city, and the construction of a new mosque.
The delegation is also expected to visit the historical and sightseeing sites of Shusha and receive detailed information about the history of the city.
