The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities to fulfill its responsibilities, including protecting the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, APA reports, citing the ministry's press service.
Based on calls received through the ministry's 112 emergency hotline, its relevant units carried out emergency rescue operations in response to 442 fires, 54 cases involving people in helpless situations, and three road traffic accidents over the past week.
As a result of urgent and immediate measures taken, fires were promptly extinguished, and people's lives were saved.
In total, the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 62 people, including 20 minors, over the past week. The bodies of 11 people were recovered and handed over in connection with various incidents, including locked-door emergencies and road accidents.
