Azerbaijan raised the retirement age of military personnel to make longer use of the existing experience of military personnel, it was reflected in the bill amending the laws “On the Status of Military Personnel”, “On Approval of the Regulations “On Military Service”, “On Labor Pensions”, "On amending the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Military Duty and Military Service”, discussed at the meeting of Milli Majlis held today, APA reports.
It is proposed to increase the minimum length of service for retirement as military personnel from 20 to 25 calendar years to make use of the experience of military personnel, whom the state has spent time and resources for training, for a longer period.
The draft was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
