The State Migration Service (SMS) of Azerbaijan detained 910 foreigners last month as a result of the measures against illegal migration in November of this year, the Service told APA.
According to the information, it was unveiled that the foreigners were engaged in labor without obtaining a job permit, as well as, were living in Azerbaijan without address registration and without documents giving the right to live (illegally).
During that period, 211 foreigners who violated the migration legislation of Azerbaijan were administratively removed from the borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan and their entry into the state was limited for the period specified by law, others were provided with the legalization of their residence in the territory of Azerbaijan or they were provided with voluntary departure from Azerbaijan. As well as, a total of 1,842 administrative decisions were made regarding stay, residence, employment of foreigners, and other related issues.
