State Art Museum opens exhibition on Khojali genocide anniversary

Exhibition on the 15th anniversary of Khojali genocide opened in the State Art Museum, APA reports. Culture and Tourism Ministry officer Azade Huseynova stressed that Khojali events are not only against Azerbaijani Turks but the whole humanity.
“Khojali tragedy is one of the horrible events committed by Armenians. 613 were killed, 1,271 were captured on February 25-26. The enemy did not have mercy on babies. Our compatriots were killed savagely,� she said.
Secretary of Azerbaijani Artists’ Union Agali Ibrahimov noted that over 20 works by famous and young artists were demonstrated at the exhibition. He said that works by Azerbaijani artists on Khojali will be exhibited in Czechia.
Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova stressed the importance of informing the world community of Khojali genocide.
“The whole world community should be informed of this tragedy. Every country should recognize the savagery committed by Armenians as genocide,� she said. /APA/
