The Ukrainian army has struck a tanker from Russia’s “shadow fleet” in the Black Sea and two bridges in southern Ukraine that are under Russian control, APA rpeorts.
According to information posted on Telegram by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out strikes on several Russian military and logistics facilities during the night of June 16-17.
“A tanker of the ‘shadow fleet’, FINA A, was hit in the Black Sea. The vessel is under sanctions imposed by the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada and Ukraine,” the statement said.
It was emphasized that the tanker had been used to transport oil and petroleum products in the interests of the Russian Federation while circumventing international sanctions and restrictions.
It was noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces also struck facilities used by Russia to support military logistics and the movement of personnel and equipment between temporarily occupied territories in southern Ukraine.
“In particular, the road bridge over the North Crimean Canal near the village of Stavki and the road bridge near Voinka in the Kherson region were hit,” the statement said.
